Fast Turkey Cutlets
Fast Turkey Cutlets
Buy turkey cutlets already sliced (about 1/4" thick).
Add some LC Italian dressing** to a zip-lock sandwich bag, add one serving turkey cutlets, close bag removing the air, and squish around so that all the cutlets get dressing on them. Do this with several more baggies until you have no more cutlets left. Now put them in the freezer (I put mine in another plastic bag with a note inside saying: "Marinated Turkey Cutlets"
Now, when you want a quick meal - less than 10 minutes! Just take out the frozen cutlets in the morning and put them in the fridge, they will be defrosted by suppertime.
Pan fry in a tsp. of butter or olive oil over med-high heat or grill for 5 minutes on each side (or less if they are really thin).
These melt in your mouth they are so tender and good! I loved them and will eat these often! A keeper!
They don't taste like Thanksgiving turkey either, they have a flavor all their own!
**About the Italian dressing: I used my own homemade but you can use store bought.
If I have mushrooms I will throw these in the pan AFTER I cook the cutlets and stir fry for a few minutes, then top the cutlets with them.
